Australian Made Week: Celebrating Local Manufacturing at Hardwear
To celebrate Australian Made Week 2026, the team at Hardwear decided to do something a little different.
We virtually developed a custom Australian Made Week wrap for one of our onsite vans - combining new technology with something far more traditional: Australian manufacturing. An Australian made van, designed and built locally for Australian worksites.
Every Hardwear van is designed specifically for the realities of Australian construction, infrastructure, mining and renewable energy projects. Extreme heat. Dust. Remote locations. Long project durations. Heavy daily use.
The vans are engineered around those conditions from day one.
From mobile site offices and lunchrooms through to accommodation, command centres and specialist facilities, every build is customised around operational requirements and site performance.
Solar that actually powers the site
One of the biggest differences with Hardwear vans is the integrated 48V solar system built into every van.
While many site vans still rely heavily on generators to run basic operations, Hardwear vans are designed to operate from solar first.
Air conditioning, lighting, power points, fridges, charging stations and office equipment can all run through the integrated system, reducing generator reliance and helping projects lower fuel use and downtime.
That means:
Lower diesel costs
Less generator runtime
Reduced noise on site
Immediate day one usability
Lower operational downtime
The result is a mobile facility designed to keep projects moving from the moment it arrives onsite.
Proudly Australian made
The Australian Made Week wrap is a celebration of something we believe strongly in - local capability.
Australian manufacturing still matters because Australian conditions are different. Local projects demand products built specifically for the environment they operate in.
At Hardwear, every van is designed and built locally with that in mind.
Built locally. Built properly. Built for Australian worksites.
