Are Hardwear vans Australian-made?

Yes. Hardwear is proudly Australian-owned and every van is built in Pakenham, Victoria. Components include AL-KO chassis, Armstrong Flooring, Narva lighting systems and Askin Performance Panels.

Can I customise my Hardwear van?

Yes. Standard models are available in 7.7m (HW7700) and 9.0m (HW9000) layouts. Hardwear also specialises in tailored builds to suit any requirement — whether that's office layout, accommodation fitout, storage, medical use or power requirements.

Do you supply onsite vans for mining or remote projects?

Yes. Hardwear vans are used in mining, civil and renewables projects across Australia. They are designed for remote deployment, off-grid solar capability and operation in harsh terrain.

Where does Hardwear deliver onsite vans?

Hardwear delivers across all of Australia, including Victoria, NSW, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Do Hardwear vans meet Australian compliance standards?

Yes. Every Hardwear build meets Australian Design Rules (ADR — Road Vehicles Standards Act 2018) and AS3000/AS5033 for electrical and solar installations. Hardwear is ISO 9001 certified.

Are Hardwear onsite vans solar-powered?

Yes. Every standard Hardwear van leaves the workshop with a fully integrated 48V solar package using Victron Energy systems. A 6kVA diesel generator is included as backup only — not as the primary power source.

Do you work with hire companies?

Yes. Hardwear supplies purpose-built fleet vans for Australia's largest hire companies. Current hire partners include Coates and Kennards Hire.

Are Hardwear vans built with sustainability in mind?

Yes. All standard vans include solar integration and off-grid capability, and Hardwear is a member of the Clean Energy Council.

There’s always something satisfying about seeing a finished Hardwear van leave the factory.

After fabrication, fit-out, electrical work, solar installation and final checks, the next stage is getting the van where it needs to go.

For some projects, our own Hardwear delivery team takes the van directly to site. For others, the vans are loaded onto trucks and transported across the country.

The latest Kennards Hire vans are a great example, with two units now heading west to support worksites in Port Hedland and Karratha.
